summer series #2
So long Summer, Hello Autumn.
The sun has swept it's rays over our longer days and now it's time to welcome in the golden grace that is Autumn. But first, photos.
Summer extended well into March for myself and my pals. So here's to the sun, kiwi adventures & bloody good times.
Side note. These aren't taken just by me, but by my friends that pick up the camera too. I love seeing what they create.
A Scorcher of a day in the 09. Chilling at a friends before heading to see our favourite artist, Anderson Paak & The Free Nationals.
A friend of ours has a wicked place up in the bush in Matakana. He has turned his place into a lush oasis with a mixture of tropical and natives plants. These are Black Taro & Ornamental banana plants.
We spent a couple nights here eating good food, drinking good wine & spinning good yarns by the fire pit.
He's even added in an outdoor shower amongst the natives. Waking up frst thing to bird call and having a shower outside is nothing but dreamy.
Food is always a big part of Summer getaways and adventures. Preparing breakfast or a dinner feast that brings everyone around the table. You can't beat it.
One of my favourite beaches ever. A long stretch of golden sand and the clearest blue sea.
KJ's 30th on the farm!
MOTUTARA FARM, CAMPING
This place is a rare gem. Camping nestled into the side of a hill amongst Pohutukawa, Harekeke & waking up to the sunrise.
Fun fact. This rope swing broke just after we had used it. I hope the poor soul that was on it didn't break anything!
We scaled one side of a cliff to reach the top and boy was it worth it.
